Christmas Closure dates 2019

The Centre and Carersline will close at 12pm Thursday 19th December 2019 and will re-open on Thursday 2nd January  2020 at 10am.

If you need urgent support or you need immediate assistance relating to your caring role while the Centre is closed please ring the Manchester City Council Contact Centre on 0161 234 5001.

Christmas Day Events

Are you looking for some partnership, a friendly atmosphere, and most importantly lovely festive food this Christmas Day?  If the answer is yes then you may be interested to know that there are number of community events taking place across Manchester on Christmas day. This list of events was put together by our partners at the Manchester Carers Network.

A free Community Christmas Lunch will be taking place on Christmas day @ 12:30 at The Place, Platt Lane, M147FB. This is being delivered by Trinity Community Church, and they will also be running their Christmas day service from 10:45-11:45 in the same venue. No booking required for this event.

A free Christmas Dinner will be available on Christmas day @ 13:00 at 1a Albert St, Beswick, M11 3UT (off great mare lane, near the east Manchester Academy). This is being delivered by Church of the Resurrection and St Barnabas Eastlands. To book a place call Adam on 07710 539257.

  • Lifeshare 8am – 8pm Food, entertainment, clothing, bedding, toiletries, medical care
  • Booth Centre 9am – 1pm Breakfast/Xmas Day dinner/advice/activities
  • Cornerstones 10.30 – 3pm Xmas Day dinner
  • Manchester South Foodbank at St Mary’s C.E Primary School 12 – 4pm Christmas Day meal and activities (transport can be arranged call 0161 226 3414 to arrange)
