Manchester Carers Centre wish everyone a warm welcome to Carers Week 2020!
To mark the occasion we are running a range of events and projects. Including:
‘Get Creative’ Online showcase for Carers to send in their contribution from poems to photos and crafts to cakes! We are inviting Carers to send us their work for us to showcase on our website and ensure that Carers are not only visible but celebrated as well. For more information click here
Carers Virtual Coffee Morning, this is a Manchester Carers centre first! The session is taking place on 10:30am-12:00pm Thursday 11th June 2020. The session is a chance to have an informal catch up with friends old and new and take part includes a guided relaxation session from 11:30am. For more information click here.
Young Adult Carers Virtual Quiz, this informal quiz session is a chance to flex some brain muscles while also catching up with friends. The quiz will be taking place on 4pm Wednesday 10th June 2020. The quiz will be taking place over zoom and if you want to get involved all you need to do is contact Orla on 07957 836 058!
We are also available to support Carers in accessing the Carers Emergency Fund. This fund has been set up by Manchester City Council to help Carers who have been directly affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. The fund can help to cover food costs, fuel and energy costs, travel, essential household items, and one-off costs to support you in your caring role.
