This year, Carers Rights Day is on Thursday 21 November 2024, and the theme is ‘Recognising your Rights’. ❤️We want Carers to be able to recognise and understand their rights in order to access the support they are entitled to. Many unpaid Carers do not title themselves as such and are unaware of their legal rights and support available to them.
As part of our celebrations, we will be hosting an event to recognise the achievements of our Autumn Carers Study Club. Manchester Carers Centre was picked by Open Learn at the Open University as 1 of 5 Carers Centres in the UK to facilitate Learning for Carers. Their new project aspired for their free, online and flexible courses to reach unpaid Carers and allow them to dedicate some time for themselves to invest in exciting new learning opportunities. We recognise that unpaid Carers should be able to access supportive environments to socialise and invest in themselves, and our sessions have been a real success! 📚🤩
