Manchester Carers Centre has always strived to make Manchester a better city for Carers but we are equally conscious of our responsibility as a small charity to be playing our part in caring for our planet. With this in mind, we are delighted to announce that Manchester Carers Centre has officially become a climate action workforce! What this means is that we have calculated the approximate carbon footprint of our organisation and support carbon offsetting projects and tree planting around the world to help mitigate the impact of our organisations carbon footprint.
Since 3rd March 2023, Manchester Carers Centre has been partnered with Ecologi an organisation that is working to inspire and empower businesses to accelerate global climate action. Through this partnership every month Manchester Carers Centre fund the planting 60 trees across the world in the most environmentally beneficial locations and 1 tree in the UK to underline our commitment to our local environment as a global focus. The partnership also offsets 4.5tonnes of CO2 every month through a rotation of different projects each month.
