Carers Manchester

Carers Manchester is a partnership of statutory services and voluntary organisations. The partnership includes 18 organisations who support unpaid/unwaged Carers in Manchester.

Carers Manchester Contact Point

Carers Manchester Contact Point is a ‘first point of contact’ service that offers tailored support and advice to all unpaid Carers in the Manchester City Council area. They are a partnership of GaddumLMCP Care LinkManchester Carers Forum and Wai Yin Society, working together to provide the contact point as part of the new Carers Pathway in Manchester.

Unpaid/Unwaged Carers in Manchester are able access the contact point for information, advice and support for a range of issues with just a phone call, email or click of the mouse. Trained advice workers from all four organisations are able to answer your queries or direct you to the relevant service. No question is too big or too small.

Carers Manchester Locality Partnerships

Carers Manchester North, Central and South Partnerships are a collaboration of voluntary organisations working together to improve the identification of unpaid/unwaged Carers in local communities across Manchester. We work with professionals to improve service responses to Carers and link Carers with services across the overall Carers Pathway. Our aim is to work closely with Integrated Neighbourhood Teams, GP Practices, Primary Care organisations and a range of local organisations to create Carer friendly neighbourhoods and link Carers to activities in their local areas to improve their health and wellbeing.

This enables unpaid Carers in the community to be recognised, receive advice, guidance and support early on in their caring journey. We are also working with diverse communities and BAME organisations to support the development of culturally appropriate services to their community members.

Carers Manchester North Partnership is led by Manchester Carers Centre. The partnership involves staff from: Alzheimer’s Society, Moodswings, working in partnership with Talbot House, The Fed (Greater Manchester Jewish Community) and North Manchester Black Health Forum.
