Manchester Carers Centre

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

Alongside the one to one mentoring sessions for Young Adult Carers, we also run regular group activities. These can vary from social activities, workshops or peer support groups.

Our group activities are designed for Young Adult Carers to meet other young people, take regular breaks from their caring role, learn new skills, and access peer support. The group activities are varied and young person led. All activities are assessed for accessibility for all attendees and take place in central locations with good public transport links with little or no cost to the Young Adult Carer.

The Young Adult Carers have enjoyed activities such as Escape Rooms, Karaoke, a trip to the Christmas markets and employability days with Amazon including a tour of their robotic technology at their warehouse.

If you would like more information about our groups or you would like to attend, please get in touch with our service by calling 0161 27 27 27 0 or emailing admin@manchestercarers.org.uk
